Why Are You Closed Nights and Weekends?

We all have families that we like to spend time with.
However, we do have one plumber working every Saturday (by appointment only).
Please call ahead of time to get on the Saturday schedule.

Why Are You So Expensive?

We could fill this response with dozens of “you get what you pay for” clichés, but the fact is, you honestly do!

  • You’re paying for professional-grade materials, years of specialized training, and ongoing education, not just for governmental compliance but for YOU to best benefit YOUR needs.
  • You don’t have just one plumber coming to visit; you have all of our vast experience there too, because we work as a team, not as cutthroat individuals under a company name.
  • Hard business costs, such as insurance, are the boring side of why we charge as we do. The knowledge, quality, and service that cross your threshold are what mean the most.

Can I Be Billed?

We bill our commercial accounts; residential accounts are C.O.D. (cash on delivery) only.
All major credit cards are accepted.
To keep office costs down, we do not have a “billing” department.

How Often Should I Service My Tankless Water Heater?

The manufacturer requires it be flushed, cleaned, and serviced once a year.

What Is the Average Life Span of a Water Heater?

The average life expectancy is between 10 and 12 years for a tank water heater and 25 for a tankless water heater.

How Many “Women” Work for M. Cary?

Seven; four hold plumbing licenses. Of approximately 100,000 licensed plumbers in the USA, 1% are women. Of that 1%, four of us are at M. Cary & Daughters!

Why Do You Charge a Dispatch Fee?

Gasoline and traffic are volatile variables for any service business. It’s quite expensive to send someone out to see you. Instead of calling it ‘free’ and hiding the cost elsewhere, the upfront dispatch fee allows us to cover some of the cost of getting to your home and saves us from restructuring our charges every time QT makes us cringe or road construction has us biting our nails on 285 (eww… plumbers shouldn’t do that).
